Reaching Beyond Our Walls
Peace Lutheran Church began as a small neighborhood church. It is now a larger church with many small neighborhoods.
Neighborhood Ministry is carrying the “Keys of Faith” Fellowship, Caring, Prayer, and Service into your home and into the midst of your neighborhood.
What is Neighborhood Ministry about? This ministry is living out what our vision team defines as the 3G’s. It is taking what we experience in our own faith community and offering the gifts of Grace, Generosity, and many Generations beyond the walls of our church building. Neighborhood Ministry provides opportunities to meet those people that attend Peace and live close to you. It is also an opportunity to share in a time of fellowship, prayer, Bible study, and service.
Here are some ways neighborhoods have shared the 3G’s by Reaching Beyond Our Walls...
- Serving meals to those who are ill or families in need. - Making sack lunches for homeless teens. - Opening up their front yard and serving beverages for all their neighbors. - Praying for neighbors. - Getting together and learning more about each other. - Having a sack lunch get together. - Sharing God’s word together through a Bible study. - Breaking bread together and enjoying a meal. - Sharing in hospitality at church by serving coffee and cookies. Neighbors are getting together to share God’s love and to be a light for Christ. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to experience the 3G’s!
Do you know what neighborhood you are in? If not please email Nanette Christofferson or call the church office at 623-972-6785.
