Sunday School Ministry

Sunday School runs August through May during our 10:00 am worship service.

Welcome: Please sign your child(ren) in before you head to the sanctuary each week. The sign in sheet is located on the table in the courtyard. Your child will go to the appropriate class based on his or her age group. All aged children are dismissed after Young Disciples Time. Children in 1st-5th grade return to the sanctuary before communion. Children in the Nursery or Godly Play (Preschool-Kindergarten) stay in their classroom until after service and you can pick them up when church is over.

Noah's Ark Nursery: The Noah's Ark Nursery is designed for children ages six weeks-3 year olds but is welcoming to children of all ages who need to utilize this space during the 8:30 and 10:00 Sunday services. This space is led by a certified Lullaby Guild employee and youth volunteers from our church. When you drop your child off in the nursery, please make sure to leave your cell phone number in case we need to get a hold of you during the church service.

Godly Play: Children in Preschool and Kindergarten are taught the Godly Play curriculum by loving teachers. The curriculum was developed so that children are able to play out stories found in scripture using sacred language and techniques. This interactive experience allows children to form a connection in faith. To learn more about Godly Play please visit www.godlyplay.org.

1st-5th Grade: Children are divided in two classrooms, 1st-2nd grade and 3rd-5th grade in order to stay developmentally appropriate. Our loving teachers teach object lessons similar to what you will be learning about in the main service. The lessons follow the lectionary calendar which allows for parents and kids to share their reflections from the same bible readings. These lessons are written by the Children's Ministry Team and use a combination of object lessons, engaging questions, fun games, creative activities. Our hope is that children love learning about the faith as they grow and develop!

E.D.G.E Box: On the first Sunday of the month we send home new E.D.G.E. box activities to help your child grow their faith at home. The E.D.G.E. box stands for Every Day God Encounters because faith is not developed in one hour on Sundays but rather all the time and everywhere a child is. Please take time each month to complete the lessons and activities with your children at home.
